Outfit!!!

Realized I haven't done one of these in a while, so...

Yes, my hair is very wet, I just had a shower. Yes, I am barefoot. No, I didn't go out barefoot. My mum wouldn't let me.

Sorry for the random hand on shoulder thingy :) My mum gave me the decorated top and because it's rather revealing I've got the black top on underneath

My cool coat :) I'm actually allowed to wear this coat to school :)

Room Decoration: 1

Ah, how to create your spooky hole of darkness. The challenge that plagues babybats (and elder goths, and all in-between!) everywhere. Now that it's nearing Halloween we can buy lots of things we'd normally have to hunt down, so now it's the perfect time to start decorating! This series of posts will probably be spread out, and certainly not complete, but as I'm starting to decorate my room, I thought I'd make posts of my progress.

Warning: Pic Heavy

I printed off pictures from the internet and stuck them up into my room. Very basic, but a start :)

Random Extra Things

Vita (My sister) on her way to a pirate themed party:
I wish she dressed like this every day!

Ikea is great for buying random pictures!

And my random voodoo doll lips :) Not entirely sure how I did this, I was trying on black lipstick (it doesn't suit me) and washed it off a little to gently.

Halloween Outfit Post the First

Yes, the first round of getting my outfit ready (It takes me several tries to find a PERFECT outfit :P )

Dress is defiantly going to be worn. I'm going to be wearing ivory gloves and lace tights on the night though, for a more Elizabethan-ish look.

Not sure if I'm really going to wear it with a cape...

Of Shopping (Outfit Post)

Today I went looking for an outfit for Halloween. And...I succeeded admirably. But this isn't a post of my find, that will come as soon as I get new batteries for my camera.

Really really awful picture...

But this outfit was really cheap for me. As in, it cost me £7.00, including the shoes.

What I'm wearing:

Top: Inherited from my sister, so I have no idea how much it cost, but I didn't pay
Skirt: Given to me from my mum as a gift
Tights (unseen): Mum gets me and my sister new tights often for school
Boots (Unseen): Gift from my mother again
Hat: Gift from a friend (I wanted to wear one of my sisters berets, but she wouldn't let me :( )
Gloves: £7.00 from accessories

Now that's what I call budget Goth!

A close up of me wearing the furry hat of awesomeness

Boots

Jacket I nicked off my sister ;-) I won't tell if you don't

Outfit (Including home made skirt)

I'm off to Denmark tomorrow (As I said, really busy summer holidays!) and I'm not sure if I'll be able to post whilst there, so if I disappear that's why :)

Outfit post today! Also, I have just discovered a really awesome mask I bought from Camden market ages ago, so :-D

Rather badly showing off my mask ;) It's a lot prettier in real life

Plain black tops go with anything

Made this skirt myself, in about one minuet. It's literally just material safety pined together at the top. Not sure  how likely it is to fall down, but oh wells...

Awful picture, and not much makeup, but I have't used eyeliner on the insides of my eyes since a rather bad reaction to some cheap stuff a while ago. I decided to brave it today and, considering how little I've used eyeliner like this, am quite pleased with the results.

DIY: Safety pins are awesome.

I love safety pins. I really do. They're just so easy to use! To make ANY outfit seem more unique, I find just attaching a load of safety pins is great. (Don't worry, I do have some pattern behind my random attaching). Warning: This post contains a lot, because I'm going away to Cornwall for a while (not that long) so I'm just doing a load of posts in one

Safety-Pinned Fingerless Gloves

Difficulty Rating: Easy

You Will Need:

Something to use for the gloves. Socks, legwarmers, armwarmers, old top sleeves, whatever. I've used legwarmers

Obviously, safety pins. As many as you want

Scissors

Step 1) Cut a thumb hole in each of the potential gloves

Step 2) Attach safety pins however you wish to. Here is some of what I did.

Safety pins around the thumb hole. This also stops fraying.

I attached pins messily around the edge of it

Threaded Eyebrows!

I got my eyebrows threaded today :). I love them but god it hurts...

More Safety Pins!

This time on my belt

Not going to do a tutorial for this because it's super easy. You literally just attach safety pins in a line

Two Non-Uniform Days! :D

Ah, non-uniform day. The time when people can wear their own clothes, and everyone can coo over the fact that their friend looks like a holister advert. Well, whatever makes them happy...But for us gothy types, our outfits are quite different...

This is the top part of what I wore for yesterdays non-uniform day :) The gloves are made from old legwarmers, and the dress is from Punky Fish

This is the full dress (I'm also wearing purple leggings)

This is the one for today. It's hard to see but the top is brown and long sleeved, (a gift from my late grandma) with a black top that I cut the sleeves off.

You can see the top a bit better here.

This is the skirt :) I got it from my mum, the petticoat underneath it was originally from our halloween box (Who would put a petticoat in a halloween box?) and the boots are from my sister.

According to my friends I looked very pretty both days ^^. Also, some people seem to think that saying 'Goth' or 'Gothic Type' very loudly when I come near them is insulting. Sorry guys, but as I'm still a babybat it in fact makes me very happy to have my gothyness validated.

Parent-friendly outfit

Hi, I'm mainly going to be posting pictures today because I'm really tierd and in a bad mood for reasons I won't go into as it's all 'this and that sucks' and I don't want to bore people.

I realise that this outfit isn't majorly gothic but I think it's quite a good start for easing your way into goth
Sorry for the sidewaysness, and it's not a very good picture, but the outfit is basicly a long black coat with fluffyness (read: fur) on the cuffs and neckline, with a black (really pretty) dress underneath and some navy tights. I also wore my really nice black heels. I don't reccomend wearing heels that squash your little toes (I have really wide feet) for a 3 hour trip around a museum. I'm guessing the majority of any readers I have will already know that.

Coat: Got it off my mum

Dress: £4.50 from a charity shop

Tights: Not sure how much they cost, from Marks and Spencers (or somewhere like that, I have loads of tights because of my school uniform)

Shoes: Around £7.00 from a new look sale
