Blog Round Ups

Note: Seeing as I said I was both white and mixed race on the stereotype post I figured there might be some confusion. I said both because I have white skin, but my mother, although she grew up in England, is half Asian (Burmese and Armenian) so I see myself as mixed race :)

(Yes, I realize that some of these posts are old, I've been meaning to do this post for ages, and so have lots of old posts bookmarked)

So many blogs, so many good posts, so little time...

This post on A Mortal Doth Approach about why you shouldn't always dress down for mundane tasks rung true to me and, judging by the comments, many others

I really want to try out this brilliant tutorial by Sincerely, Boots!

This tiny hat tutorial by Bixie Willow is very clear and helpful!

Ah, I couldn't not mention The Ultimate Goth Guide, could I? It was hard to decide on one post to link to, but in the end I chose this one

There are many more posts I'd like to link to, but I'm going out today and won't be back till late, and my mum is yelling at me to get off the computer right now!

My bookmarks (e.g some blogs and things I like)

I have no idea what do post about so I'm going to do a list of all the blogs I lurk. In no paticular order....:

The Ultimate Goth Guide  I've said it before and I'll say it again. The Ultimate Goth Guide NEEDS to go on your list of great blogs. Trust me

Gothic Charm School  Great site. Looking back through the archives I've found some great tips and advice. And  there is a tutorial to a blood-spattered manicure!

Juliet's Lace  Another great blog!

Sophistique Noir

Graveyard Picnic

A Mortal Doth Approach  Great blog, and I have to say I love the name :P Ashlee, if you ever stop blogging (which I hope you don't!) can I pinch it?

Sincerely, Boots

If Only I Was a Goth

The Neo-Victorian Palour

The Dark Victorian

http://madgirlanachronisms.blogspot.com/ Brilliant blog :D

http://noseykittycat.blogspot.com/ At the major risk of repeating myself, great blog :P

http://missbabybat.blogspot.com/ Written by another babybat, in fact Teresa is a (online) friend of mine, and her blog is very good

Listining to: The Passenger-Soixe (grossly misspelt I know) and the Banshees

Clicky Links Number Two

Don't worry, I'll get down to posting whole thingymobobies later but I'm downloading some pictures right now so just a quick list of links for different types of Goth, courtursy (again) of The Ultimate Goth Guide. I'm not saying that this is the only blog that does things like this but these are the first explinations I've found :D

http://ultimategothguide.blogspot.com/2010/12/styles-of-goth-fashion-perky-goth.html (This is a more parent-friendly type of goth as it's not all black)

Ok, I'd say that's enough links for now :D. You don't have to be one paticular type of Goth, these are just a general guide. I'm going to try and include other links as well as just Ultimate Goth Guide because it could get kind of weird if I keep banging on about it! Soon as possible I'm going to get some pictures of my outfit from today up because I'm quite pleased with it as a parent friendly way of being goth

First Clicky Links

I'm just going to do a quick link to all the blogs that I've found helpful/just enjoy and hope you like them as well :D (yes, I do do smilies a LOT. I like them ^^)

http://www.gothic-charm-school.com/ Gothic Charm School...What can I say? The Lady of The Manners style isn't for everyone but she has some very good tips on all Gothy issues.

http://ultimategothguide.blogspot.com/ The Ultimate Goth Guide. Amy is brilliant at explaining the Gothy culture and is a very helpful person :D. Also, her pictures of her wonderful outfits could provide years of inspiration.

http://amortaldothapproach.blogspot.com/ I haven't been reading this blog for very long but I've found the posts that have been written very helpful

I'll add more links as I discover new helpful blogs. Don't be afraid to flick back through past posts, and The Ultimate Goth Guide has quite a few very good posts on the history of Goth, which is suprisingly quite interesting
